About The Boring Company
The Boring Company grew out of Musk's frustration with traffic. It aims to make tunneling far cheaper and faster, using smaller-diameter tunnels and its own boring machines.
Its first product is the Loop, in which passengers ride in electric vehicles through tunnels. A test tunnel opened in Hawthorne in 2018, and the Las Vegas Convention Center Loop followed in 2021.
